Automatic Fire Water Monitors are often integrated with a Thermal Fire Detection system. This system scans the area for infrared radiation, converting it into a temperature reading. When a predefined temperature threshold is reached, the fire alarm activates and relays signals to the water cannon.
These signals include information about the fire's location, allowing the water cannon, mounted on a motorized chassis with a self-aligning system, to turn and direct the water jet precisely at the identified risk area. This targeted approach ensures swift and efficient fire suppression, minimizing cleanup costs.
